Saturday Night - "T-Dot" - Back to TO 2-2

Note: Here is Part 2

Got tethered to a power cord when the camera battery ran out. Photo angle changed, more zoom which blurred things a bit, but caught better action sequences.

The evening raced along with groups from Chicago, Boston, DC, and the Bronx.

Montreal's bustier clad Sonia & a tux clad Morris with San Tropez performed an interesting Fossey Chicago inspired sequence with some solid imaginative salsa - in perfect unison with another couple. The smiles on their faces only hinted at the genuine fun they seemed to have on the stage!

TOs reign continued with Jose and Paula's Dance-to-Live's routine.

If there was any overall theme throughout the shows, it must be youth!

Outstanding and imaginative performances by the young people in Rhythmic Fire, Puerto Rico's New Dimension, Toronto's Latin Angels, Montreal's latin spirit Kids, and NYC's Baby Sweethearts gave veterans such as Montreal's Sonia & Morris and Puerto Rico's Tito & Tamara and even Edie & Al a run for their money. Salsa's future is safe with so many young people at such a level of performance and imagination.

Edie "The Salsa Freak" & Al "Liquid Silver" Espinosa finished the evening with a daring send-off of that Spaghetti Western The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Edie was "the man with no name" who surprised Al with her drawn revolver - coming out of a neck drop!

Mayhem broke out when Edie rode Al across the stage - even spurring him on to greater heights.

All too soon, the house lights came up again - a spell was over and the show was over.

People began heading next door to the all night dance, which is another story.
