Six Degrees felt more like 600 degrees Sunday night as hundreds packed in to see the competitor do their stuff!
It was close, but when the dust settled and the last note floated away, Elton & Mridu won the Toronto Dance Salsa Salsa competition Sunday 31 May 2009.
Right on their heels were second place winners Manuel & Winnie; third place winners John & Karen.
The real star may have been MC George who dished out little known facts as he introduced the competitors. One never knew that being allergic to the cinnamon flavor in chewing gum could be a deal breaker? !
While the judges - LatinEnergy.ca's Vanesa, United Salseros.com's Rene and Teddy, iFreeStyle.ca's Angus, LatinGrooveProductions.com's Oscar and TorontoDanceSalsa.ca's Sharon - tallied the scores, Vanesa's Troupe, the iFreestyle semi-pro team and the United Salsaeros' Three Men in Black entertained the crowd.
The 2009 competitors raised the bar with some spectacular lifts and tricks that would keep the pros on their toes.
