GoDanceMambo Stephanie's first Toronto Bachata Festival finished Sunday evening at Dovercourt House with DJ Bowie mixing Salsa, Cha Cha and Bachata. And the entertainment featured six fast paced shows and one leasurely demo.

Energy Kids' Ray & Jen brought the house down with a funny, entertaining and challenging take on Blake Edwards' The Pink Panther. Jen playfully stayed out of the bumbling Clouseau's outrageously magnified eyeball. The fun really began when the usually bumbling Clouseau finally snatched the Pink Panther's tail right off her! The crowd was left shouting for more!

Groove Productions' Briia & Sergio; Dance to Live's Steven & Jena; Brazil Dance World demonstrating Brazilian Ballroom to one of 12 samba rhythms; a three woman solo from Toronto Dance Salsa; Korikoa's Young & Jen; and MC Troy demonstrated a little West Coast Swing with his wife Jorjet!
Not a salsa congress, not a social, the first Toronto Bachata festival brought a friendly experience melding Salsa and Bachata at a reasonable price. Mark your calendars for Febraary 2011.
A portion of the Festival's proceeds will be going to the children's charity "Windfall," addressing new basics for those in need.
