Dovercourt House, Toronto's dance mecca was the scene for two days of Winter Salsa Carnival Workshops. Instructors from Europe, the United States, Ontario and Quebec brought their expertise to the participants in bright sunny rooms with wood floors and high ceilings.
Saturday's workshops included; Jonah Inikori's Spins; Aldolpho & Carla's Mambo Turn Patterns; Vanesa and Mark-Anthony's Tricks and Dips; Leon Rose and Noemie's Salsa Turn Patterns; Steps' Jennifer Aucoin's Salsa Ladies Styling; Dance-to-Live's Paula & Jose's Salsa Turn Patterns; Los Salsomanos' Giovanni's Cha Cha; Chilital's Marie-Jose & Roberto's Salsa Footwork and Styling; Sonia & Morris's Cuban Guanguanco.
Sunday workshops included Ana Machado's Afro-Cuban Body Movement; Mario and Shani's Turn patterns; Aldofo's Men's footwork; iFreeStyle.ca's Angus & Caryl's On2 Turn Pattern and Styling; CityDanceCorps' Salsa Tango; Victor & Katia's Latin Hustle; Noemie's Mambo Styling; and United Salseros' Teddy's Salsa Technique and Turn Pattern.
Participants from Montreal, Toronto, New York state, and even New Brunswick took in a month's worth of material in each short hour. Turn patterns and techniques that would be taken home and worked up for the dance floor or the stage - all keeping the dance alive.

Distributing workshops videos is taking money from the instructors who were videotaped. Otherwise, there could be no videotaping whatsoever following future workshops.
