A Congress without people is not a Congress, and it was the people's chance to shine Saturday night at the 7th Canada Salsa Congress.
Inspiration and seemingly endless energy from the evening's performances spilled onto the equally endless dance floor Saturday. They were dancing on the carpet, on the two installed wood floors, out in vendor's row, and possibly on the escalators.
Willy Torres' NYC Salsa Project connected with the crowd who called and responded in a salsa version of Hit The Road Jack as they hit the floor, not the road. Passionate but not frantic, NYC Salsa Project two long sets showcased a number of salsa and cha cha anthems.
DJ Henry Knowles, in a nod to Saturday's Latin Hustle workshops, slipped in a short set that got a surprisingly large number of them bringing a 70s creation into the 21st century.
Jennifer Aucoin finally got to enjoy her own Congress as she danced with almost all comers throughout the evening.

Editor's Notes:
Stage Right and part of Stage Centre lighting was not compatable for photography. Apologies to performers who were on those parts of the stage.
About 1000 pictures were taken during the shows each evening. Keep coming back for the additions as more pictures are edited and added.
