Alfredo De La Fe was everywhere Saturday night at Lula Lounge.
He took 'em, grabbed 'em and held 'em right to the very last note. In the crowd, through the crowd, with the crowd, around the crowd, in front of the crowd.
From his opening "Julio el Gitarro," in the first set to Descarga for closing, Alfredo's violin was the brush painting the picture on the canvas of Lusito's steady orchestra and Jeremy Ledbetter's keyboard.
Classically trained in violin, but playing latin since he was 12 years old, Alfredo De la Fe played with Latin's titans from Tito Puente to Celia Cruz, and his mastry was evident.
Songs in his two sets include:Julio el Gitarro, Ritmo Saluoso, Alfonsirca, La Candela Soy Yo -- 2nd set - La Botja, Soy, Manana, Cha Ku Cha, Descarga.
